Join us on this exciting adventure to Dawson City and Tombstone Territorial Park and then to the southern Yukon to discover Carcross and Kluane National Park. You'll get the chance to see the northern lights, to try snowmobiling, dogsledding and snowshoeing in the most beautiful places of the territory as well as fly over the glacier of the largest icefield in North America!

Itinerary

Upon arrival in Whitehorse, you are picked up by a Terre Boréale team member and drive to your accommodation for the night. You can take the opportunity of this short drive to ask any questions regarding your adventure!

Depending on your arrival time, you will have time to explore Whitehorse and take a stroll on the Millennium Trail or check out the MacBride Museum.

We meet you at your accommodation and drive you to the airport for your flight to Dawson City. There, you meet our local partner who will take care of you for the next few days. You settle in your accommodation for the next two nights.

In the afternoon you enjoy a guided tour of the city and the Klondike goldfields. Learn all about the history of Dawson and get immersed in the era of the gold rush.

After dinner, at around 11 pm, you are picked up by your guide for a northern lights viewing tour. Waiting for the northern lights you enjoy the beautiful northern sky. At round 2 am you’re dropped off at your accommodation.

Today you leave Dawson to go explore Tombstone Territorial Park. You enjoy a snowshoeing hike in the heart of the park and explore the beautiful Dempster Highway.

Once again tonight you try your luck at seeing the stunning light show of the aurora borealis.

This morning you get to enjoy a snowmobile ride along the frozen Yukon River and around Dawson. A great way to experience the Yukon’s way of life! After a warm lunch you get dropped off at the airport for a flight back to Whitehorse. There you are picked up by one of our guides who will drive you to the Carcross region where you will spend the night.

After a hearty breakfast, you hop on a sled and get to try and command your very own sled dog team. A fun experience that will give you plenty of memories to bring back home!

We enjoy a lunch in a café in Carcross and visit this little village before heading towards Haines Junction where we spend the next couple nights.

Tonight you have the opportunity to go out chasing the northern lights if you wish to or you can simply enjoy the sauna or hot tub at the lodge.

Today is spent exploring the beauty of Kluane National Park by land and by air. Indeed, you enjoy a snowshoeing stroll in the morning followed by a glacier flight of 2 hours above the frozen landscapes of the park. If you get lucky you will have the chance to have a close look of Mount Logan, Canada’s highest peak! 

At the end of this exciting day, we go back to the lodge where we enjoy delicious meals and relax by the fire. Afterwards, you can once again go out to chase the northern lights.

Today is the last day of your adventure. On our way back to Whitehorse we stop at Long Ago People’s Place where you step back in time and learn about Southern Tutchone culture. After the visit, we keep on driving to the Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs where we enjoy lunch before soaking in the hot waters, relaxing in the sauna and steam room or simply lying on the warm chairs of the quiet room. A great way to wrap up this week of Yukon’s discovery and experiences.

We drive you to the airport for your return flight or you’re onto your next Yukon adventure!

The price for this tour is:

  • $7310 + 5% GST per person for 2 participants,
  • $6675 + 5% GST per person for a group of 3,
  • $6370 + 5% GST per person for a group of 4,
  • $6100 + 5% GST per person for a group of 5 or 6 participants.
